Akeredolu Reiterates Commitment to Industrialise Ore and Entire Southern Part of Ondo State

In a bid to deliver good governance to the people of Ondo State and ensuring the people enjoy dividends of democracy, the governor of Ondo State has once again reiterated his plan to transform the entire southern senatorial district of the state with his industrialization policies.

The governor made this promise while addressing press men in an event yesterday in the state capital, Akure. According to the interrogations by the press, Akeredolu was asked to give details on what he intends doing for the people of the state if elected the second term in office. He responded by reiterating plans and commitment to continue implementing projects across the state and most especially, to industrialise the southern part of the state which consist of six local government areas.

Akeredolu has been heard severally on political campaigns talking about this developmental proposals and how he will actualize them if elected to serve the people of Ondo State for the second term. He mentioned some of the major projects he has implemented and commissioned across the state and the ones still ongoing.

The southern part of Ondo state is made up of six local government which consist of Okitipupa, Irele, Ese-Odo, Ilaje, Odigbo and Ile-Oluji respectively. Each of these local government communities has their explorable resources which Akeredolu is trying implement.

According to the governor, he promised to commence the exploration of bitumen which Irele and Odigbo house the largest deposit. He said that the refinery site will be situated in Ikale, which is consist of Okitipupa, Irele and also an extension to the riverine areas which consist of Ilaje and Ese-Odo. Akeredolu also revealed plan to situate some major factories in Ore the headquarters of Odigbo local government and also commencement of deep seaport in Ilaje part of the riverine areas.

Akeredolu revealed to the press men that even the traditional ruler of Ore told him not to bother coming to the community to campaign that his works in Ore is enough to determine his for the second term. He mentioned the Ore redemption bridge laid across Lagos-Ore expressway as one of the projects that will attract people to support his second term ambition. He then claim there would still be need to go and show appreciation to the people of Ore for their support in ensuring successful completion of the project. He ensured the people that he will continue to make Ore great and make it the commercial hub of the state.

The governor described himself as a believer of God and by the grace of almighty God, Ore will become the new Nnewi before 2024. He claimed have established about seven companies in Ore town including a cassava factory, this alone has turned cassava to a highly valuable agricultural produce in the region. Everything is situated at the Ore industrial park.

He there congratulates the people of Ondo State as they anticipate more developmental projects that will spread across the state. He noted that his second term will be more favourable for the youths as they are the leaders of tomorrow.

Akeredolu is the successor of Olusegun Mimiko who ruled Ondo State for eight years, Aketi is also planning to bring this policy of compulsory two terms to reality again. If he eventually succeeds, it will make it the second time a governor will rule for eight years in the history of the state.
