How to Download and Print The Improved NIN Slip

After several years of anticipation and suspense, the long awaited pocket-friendly NIN slip is finally out. This one is an improved and mobile slip, reshaped to a pocket-friendly size.

National Identity Management Commission, NIMC today, announced the commencement of the improved NIN slip which the agency has made available for Nigerians. NIMC has assured Nigerians that the new slip can be used anywhere in the world for identity verification.

The old big-sized slip is still useful and should be kept very well. New improved slip is produced to relief people going through various difficulties in accessing some online features. Many Nigrians had been complaining that the old slip is only recognised in Nigeria, there have been setbacks in implementing international verification with the old slip but NIMC has come with the improved slip to address the situations.

In this article, I will take you through step-by-step guide on how to access your NIMC account, download and print your improved NIN slip.

STEP 1: Get Your User ID And One-time OTP

After you’ve downloaded the app, open and with your data on and type your NIN on space provided for it.

On the next page, you’ll be asked to check a box if the number shown is still available or add a new one.

The next page, you’ll be asked to provide OTP automatically sent to the number you registered with your NIN.

After that, you’ll be asked to enter a six secret passcode to access your account whenever you want to login.

After these, your dashboard will open and you’ll see your user id. From there you can view your pocket-friendly digital slip but cannot copy or print. The programing of the app doesn’t permit such action.

STEP 2: Login To Your Account Via myportal.nimc.gov.ng

On this stage you’re required to login with your User ID from NIMC app and OTP sent to your NIN registered line.

Input your User ID in the provided space and input your OTP in the space provided, the OTP serves as your passcode to access your NIN portal.

Note: from the first step, when generating your OTP, you must be swift to copy your OTP to access your portal with your user ID before it expires.

Once the NIMC has opened and you’ve seen your user ID, under one minute you must copy both the User ID and the OTP to access myportal.nimc.gov.ng before it expires.

STEP 3: Download And Print Your Improved NIN Slip

After you have successfully logged in, you will see many features of action you can perform, just scroll down and click on print improved nin slip.

After that, a page will opened where you will be required to pay a sum of N400 before you download the slip.

After a page full of options to make your payment will display and you can any one to pay. You can pay through USSD, Credit Card, Bank Account, Internet Banking and others.

After your payment has been verified successfully, you will be asked to download your slip with the download botton.

After downloading it, you can save it in your phone gallery and print out later in case you’re not with printing machine.

Note: the slip, both front and back page can be printed on a normal A4 paper consist. After you have printed it, you can cut it out, fold in a way that both sides will take their rightful positions.
