“If This Must be Done, It Should be behind The Scene” – Adamu Garba Reacts to Buhari’s Tweet Begging Bandits to Release Kidnapped Victims

Adamu Garba has reacted to a bizarre tweet of president Muhammadu Buhari begging bandits to release all the kidnapped victims remaining in their captivity.

President Buhari had today tweeted via his official handle, begging the terrorists who kidnapped the Greenfield University Students them and other hostages.

The post he published 13 hours ago indicates that the president who’s also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was unarguably begging the terrorists to free the kidnapped victims they’ve held hostage for a long time.

His tweet reads;

“I again appeal for the release of the students of Greenfield University & all other citizens held in captivity. We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that Nigerians live in a country where everyone can move where and when they want-without the fear of kidnapping & banditry.”

This tweet has triggered reactions amongst several Nigerians wondering how and why the president who has the utmost power on all the security agencies in the country could be appealing to kidnappers to release their victims instead of taking a coercive action.

This single tweet has also prompted the former presidential aspirant to react, stating that the shameful tweet is a result of media and image management crisis. Adamu who expressed disappointment at the tweet said if the appeal must be done, it should have been behind the scenes.

He wrote;

“Pres. Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari has a serious media & image management crisis.

“I cannot imagine the @MBuhari I know appealing to criminals, in the open. If this must be done it should be behind the scenes.

“So, kidnappers have become so daring our President appeals to them.
