Arsenal Set Out €50 Million for Real Madrid Midfielder

Report has indicated that Arsenal are ready to step up their interest in Martin Odegaard as they have set out a whopping €50 million offer for the playmaker.

Italian journalist, Rudy Galetti stated that the Real Madrid midfielder will soon become a subject of €50 million transfer bid from the North London side.

The playmaker spent the second half of the last season on loan at the Emirates after struggling for regular minutes at the Spanish club under the former manafeey, Zinedine Zidane

Having joined the Gunners, the young midfielder enjoyed a decent spell, scoring two goals with several assists in 20 appearances across all games.

He was well developed in Mikel Arteta’s squad and portrayed a good understanding with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Smith Rowe, while addressing their lack of creativity from midfield.

This however didn’t come as a surprise that the North London side were resolute in re-signing him permanently after the expiration of his loan spell.

Howbeit, seems the 22-year-old Norwegian international would remain at Real Madrid. For this reason, Arsenal shifted their focus on James Maddison of Leicester City.

But recent reports have revealed the Norwegian is not too sure about his stay at Real Madrid and now interested in rejoining Arsenal.

This has motivated the Gunners to revisit his deal as dialogue with the Spanish club has been reinitiated as they set to offer €50 million for the former Stromsgodset youth prodigy.

Despite Smith Rowe contract extension, Arteta and co. may do with another creative outlet in the ranks in order to relieve the burden on their academy graduate at a young age.

Odegaard would be a perfect decision for Arsenal considering his excellent performance at the club and seemed to strike up good chemistry with his colleagues during his short stint at the North London side.

Now that Arsenal have set out € 50 million offer, it will be left for Real Madrid to decide his faith with them.

The new manager, Carlo Ancelotti could see him Odegaard an an asset and decide to keep him or cash in in order to fund his own transfer targets. Three week left for three parties in the race.
