The organisers of the Gulder Ultimate Search 2021, Nigerian Brewery Plc have unveiled the contestants that will be making it to the jungle for this year’s edition of Gulder Ultimate Search, season 12.
According to Thenet.ng, the organisers had revealed that, over 20,000 people applied for this year’s GUS12 show themed, “Age of Craftsmanship”.
However, the 20,000 applicants were reduced to 20 after thorough screening which held in Enugu, Abuja and Lagos plus the sea school screening in Lagos.
The screening committee will then select 16 contestants from the finalists while viewers are required to select two others to join them by voting.

Punch Newspaper had reported that the return of the reality show to the airwaves was announced on September 1, 2021 after eleven years of hiatus. It was premiered in 2004 and ran till 2016.
The report also stated that the organisers of GUS2021 had earlier announced that, “The Age of Craftsmanship” will kick-start on OIctober 16 and aired till December 19, 2021 but the new date for the commencement of the show which is today, September 26, 2021, is an indication that the show came earlier than expected. The task master for this season is Kunle Remi, GUS 2010 winner and Nollywood actor.

Channels to catch up on this year’s edition of Gulder Ultimate Search include, Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151), Africa Magic Urban (DStv channel 153) and Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154 and GOtv channel 2). The show will be featured on Saturdays and Sundays from 8pm till 9pm.
