The late Dora Akunyili’s husband, Dr. Chike Akunyili was allegedly killed by unknown gunmen on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

Late Dora Akunyili was a former Minister of Information and Ex-Director of National Agency fot Food and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC.

According to Punch Newspaper, the widower was on his way from Onitsha where he had gone to claim a posthumous award of excellence on behalf of his late wife when he met the gunmen and who shot and killed him.
