JUST IN: Lagos State Government Releases White Paper on EndSARS Judicial Panel Report

Lagos State government has released the finally released the white paper report on EndSARS panel report.

Recall, that the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in live broadcast on Tuesday, promised to release the white paper following round debate trailing the report of the EndSARS judicial panel.

The judicial panel was set up to investigate the massacre committed by Nigerian government against peaceful EndSARS protesters at Lekki tollgate on October 20 last year.

Pressure from Nigerians demanding for justice forced government to set up the judicial panel who recently confirmed the gruesome killing of the protesters at Lekki tollgate.

Information minister, Lai Mohammed had discredited the panel report by calling it “fake news” and described it as “tales by the moon light”.

This has since sparked mixed reactions amongst Nigerians with many condemning the man for bias and shameless.

Following the debate trailing the panel report lately, the Lagos State government has finally released the white paper as noted today.

White Paper means the government report giving information or proposal on an issue. The report contains Lagos State statement on the controversial judicial panel report.

In white paper obtained by The Punch on Tuesday night, government described the report of the panel that nine persons were shot dead as “assumption and speculations”
