ICIR Report Shows How MC Oluomo Rakes in N123billion Annually by Extorting Money from Commercial Drivers in Lagos (Photo)

A transport annual statistics released by International Center for Investigative Reporting, ICIR has unconvered how National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW led by MC Oluomo rakes in N123 billion from commercial drivers and riders in Lagos State.

According to the source, a journalist, Eniola Akinkuotu who shared the report on Twitter said the chairman of the union extorts money from bus drivers, okada and tricycle riders to generate a whopping N123b annually with the aid of agberos in Lagos.

The report is convincingly real as the document showing the statistics of the activities between NURTW, commercial dirvers and riders in the state has the ICIR logo and label on it.

Eniola claimed the N123b surpasses the Internally Generated Revenue IGR of 35 states in Nigeria except Lagos.

He attributed the spike in the price of food items and public transport in Lagos to the extortion of drivers and riders by MC Oluomo and his boys (Agberos).

He added that, Nigeria policers are not left out in the course as they keep extorting commercial drivers and riders on daily basis.

MC Oluomo who is an APC chieftain controls over N123b yearly based on this report. Some bank MDs cannot boast of such, he stated.
