The executive Chairman of Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Ajimotokin has charged the people of Ode Irele community on maintenance culture during a visit to the neighborhood.
The chairman had recently flagged off the grading of feeder roads across the territories that constitute the Local Government. He stated this during an inspection to one of the ongoing grading in one of the streets in Ode Irele community.
About 17 streets from the council headquarters, Ode Irele have been successfully graded so far. Work will extend to other subbodinate communities after completion of the first phase.
According to the spokesperson to the chairman, Mr. victor Adedeji, stated that the grading of the roads is to increase socio-economic activities in the communities.
According to Hon. Ajimotokin, before the intervention of the Council management, the deplorable condition of the roads had jeopardized the, health and social status of the people of the area.
The Hon. Chairman further appealed to residents whose streets are bad and will not be graded in this first phase to exercise patience till the second phase of the grading.
He however, solicited more cooperation and supports of the good people of Irele Local Government for the government of the day.
