Amotekun Has Been Politicalised – Nnamdi Kanu

The supreme leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB and founder of the Eastern Security Network ESN, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has reacted to the current security challenges facing South West of Nigeria.

Nnamdi Kanu who reacted to this via his Twitter handle few hours ago, claimed that the security outfit co-founded by the six governors of the region, Amotekun has been politicised due to their failure to stop the lingering insecurity ravaging the region by Fulani herdsmen.

Kanu is said to be part of the brains behind ESN, another security outfit created under the authority of IPOB. It was created to perform same function with Amotekun in South East and they have obviously outperformed Amotekun in the short period of its creation.

Several reactions have trailed this assertion, many have said, there’s nothing created under the corrupt government of Nigeria that can work as planned. Influence from the government to subjugate people’s interest can never allow the plan to be feasible.

The IPOB leader claimed Amotekun has been politicised. He wonders how a security outfit with pump action/dane guns engage an acclaimed terror group with sophisticated guns like AK-47.

He however, called for the return of the old Odua People’s Congress OPC to take over from Amotekun and stop the lingering insecurity.
