The operatives of Amotekun, Ondo State chapter have allegedly flushed out Fulani cattle herders from Forest Reserves across Ondo State.
According to our source, 37 Fulani herdsmen and about 5,000 cows have been ejected from Ondo forest by the Amotekun corps on Thursday.
The herders were acused of non-compliance of the executive order given earlier by the state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, that herdsmen grazing in Forest Reserves across the state should choose between registering with the appropriate agencies or vacate the Reserves.

In a previous report, Governor Akeredolu had banned night and under-age grazing across state. This is part of efforts to curtail the lingering insecurity challenges as engineered by Fulani herdsmen in the State.
Speaking with the State Commander of Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye said the eviction will be permanent since most of the Fulani herders have vowed not to obey the registration order given by the governor.
He confirmed the eviction took place at Ala, Oda and Ofosu Forests Reserves of the state. He also added that some of the herders opted to desired neighboring States which they were escorted by the gallant corps.
