This Former Dortmund Man could be an Ideal Choice for Arsenal in the Upcoming January Transfer Window

A fresh report from a Spanish news outlet, Fichajes has shared an interesting update on Alexander Isak and his future at Real Sociedal.

The striker has been rumoured to be on a move away from the club earlier this summer after wowing a lot of people with his impressive performance at the La Liga and European Championship.

Alexander Isak

The former Dortmund man was said to have been courted by the likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur but non of them ever made real move. The striker ended up striking a deal extension at Real Sociedal who were not pleased with the valuation of his previous release clause worth €70 million.

It has been confirmed that Isak’s future at Real Sociedal will soon come to an end, but the question will be, where is his next destination? The Hard Tackle has given a tip on where the Swedish International is fit to continue his career next season or even the upcoming January transfer window.

The online outlet, revealed Isak could be an ideal fit for the Gunners. Arsenal were a major suitor of Isak but never materialised any move due to financial concerns. However, Arsenal were more concerned on fixing their defensive problems which brought in likes of Ben White, Takehiro, Aaron Ramsdale, Nuno Travares and Tomiyasu.

This is the time to reshape the offensive unit that has struggled to find the back of the net on a consistent basis under Mikel Arteta.

Lacazette contract with Arsenal will terminate by the end of the season while Aubameyang has never been the same under the Spanish man. Nketiah doesn’t have much prospects in the first-team and will possibly be discharged in January, hence accentuating the need for a quality center-forward.

Having acquiring much succes at both club and country for the past few years, Isak is believed to fit the bill perfectly for the North London gaint. The forward has in record at Real Sociedal, 33 goals in 92 competitive appearances, becoming one of La Liga’s most talented attacking players.

Why Isak could be the right choice for Arsenal is because of his technical ability that matches with Arteta’s tactical setup. He can link up attackers in the final third and use quick link-up play to create opportunities for the team.

Isak, standing at 1.92m, is no slouch when it comes to physical duels. He can more than hold his own in a physical one-on-one, which is something the current crop of Arsenal forwards simply doesn’t have. And with that in mind, the Swedish international could certainly be an ideal fit for the Gunners, though they have to offload Aubameyang or Lacazette first, in order to afford the youngster.
