Reactions have trailed the cost of Anambra International Airport the state government claim to have spent on the project to one of China airports that cost gulped the same amount.
Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport built by Obiano led government was inaugurated yesterday and received its first maiden flight. According to the state governor, Willie Obiano claimed the project cost $2.2 billion.
Nigerians have reacted to the overwhelming amount, the governor budgeted for the project as they compare the cost to the Guangzhou Baiyun Airport in China built with the same amount. They however accused the governor of using projects to loot public funds.

According to a Twitter user; its a latest fraud in Anambra state the governor is using to siphon money into his pocket.
In contrary to the first poster’s view, another user reacted to defend the governor’s claim. He said labour is too cheap in China than many other countries in the world.
Another user said Obiano should be praised instead of questioning the cost of the project. He noted that Guangzhou airport was built 18 years ago and cost of labour now has gone extremely high unlike before when labour is cheaper.
