Businessman and socialite, Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, kept to his promise as he has offered a letter of scholarship to Jeremiah Ekumah.
Earlier last week, Ekuma, a young hawker, was caught on camera in the Ajah area of Lagos, giving money to persons who were being transported to prison in a Nigerian Correctional Service van.
Obi Cubana, who chairs the Cubana Group, last Saturday, in an interview with media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, made known his intention to sponsor the young boy’s tertiary education in any institution of his choice.
In a clip shared on Instagram by Daddy Freeze, Jeremiah could be seen, feeling exited as he fake a walk with the billionaire clubs owner.
Punch confirmed that, Iyiegbu on Sunday fulfilled his pledge by the former hawker scholarship to study in any tertiary institution of his choice and placed on N100k monthly salary.
Olainfo earlier posted a video of Ekuma where he paid his former colleagues at work and gifted money. Some Nigerians who reacted to the video described him as a prospective philanthropist, suggesting that, ‘helping people’ is in his DNA.
