OAP Narrates How Nigerian Police Officers Extorted Him, Collected All His Money While Returning From Work

An On Air Personality, OAP Tomiwa Immanuel has narrated his ordeal with the Nigeria Police operatives while coming back from work.

Tomiwa who is an OAP at Lagos Talk, 93.1 fm said he was on his way home after a hectic night work when the officers stopped his car around 12:00am. He was asked to provide his documents and identity which he did but they insisted he follow them to the station after telling them reason he drove at that hour of the night. He wrote;

“I was stopped by the Police along CMD road around 12:00am. They asked for my driver’s license and I show them. Told them I’m a radio presenter and my show runs from 9:00pm till after midnight. The officer said I’ll have to come and explain that at the station.

“I said I need to call my wife. He says why? I said because she’s tracking my movement WhatsApp location, so she’d see that I’m not coming home. That’s when he said, I should just pay their money and go.

“I said, I don’t have more than 2,000 on me. After plenty talk from me, he took the money and released me.

“These people know that what they’re doing is wrong, but they also know you will go through a lot of stress if you don’t settle them. They know, he said.
