Organisers of the popular music reality show, Nigerian Idol, recently unveiled new judges for 2022 season 7.
The show which returned to screens after three years hiatus came with season 6 in 2021 and won by Kingdom Kroseide.
The talent hunt show had its audition for this year’s edition in November last year with crowd made up of young Nigerian up-and-coming music talents and entertainment lovers.
In a recent post shared on Nigerian Idol official Instagram page, the organisers released a list of Nigerian musicians as judges for season 7.
In the unveiling, one of the season 6 judges, Seyi Shay was excluded from the list alongside DJ Sose.
Judges for the last season include Obi Asika, DJ Sose and Seyi Shay. Season 7 however, comes with new faces as Dbanj, Simi are said to replace Seyi and the Disk Jockey.
Popular radio and TV personality, IK Osakioduwa, remains the host as show is expected to air in May, 2022 with over N50 million worth of prizes to be won by the winner.
However, this edition which is sponsored by Bigi Drinks, will officially premiere tomorrow Sunday February 6 on all designated channels on GOtv and DStv from 7:00pm.
