Newcastle Linked to £34m AC Milan Transfer Target and Darwin Nunez Price Tag Claim

AC Milan, Leicester City, Napoli, and Newcastle have all been connected with Club Brugges star Charles De Ketelaere this summer. In 40 appearances for the Belgian team, the young attacker has scored 16 goals and provided nine assists.

In recent weeks, the Magpies have been mentioned as a possible destination for the 21-year-old, whose contract with the Jupiler Pro League club runs until 2024. However, according to recent rumours, the club is open to a £34 million sale.

Newcastle is one of the clubs being considered for a summer transfer, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri. “Milan likes him, but so does Napoli,” he told Italian publication Calciomercato. Newcastle managed to sign a striker in January, with Eddie Howe applauding Chris Wood’s efforts despite the fact that he has only scored once in his first nine games. Hugo Ekitike was a deadline-day target for the Magpies, but Darwin Nunez of Benfica is another name that refuses to fade away.

The Uruguayan international has already scored 26 goals this season, including the game-winning goal in Benfica’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg triumph over Ajax. In January, the Magpies were reportedly offered a sum of around £50 million for Nunez, according to Portuguese publication Record.

Now, according to Sport Witness, Newcastle will have to bid closer to £70 million in the summer to sign Nunez. The 22-year-old is also said to be sceptical by a move to Tyneside, with reports suggesting he could wait for an offer from Atletico Madrid or Manchester City.
