Report reaching Olainfo has it that, Folasade Tinubu-Ojo has locked the popular Oyingbo market for two weeks, leaving traders in despair after losing hard earned money from foodstuffs sales.
Folasade who is the daughter of the former governor of Lagos State and APC national leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, shut down the market over the failure of traders to clean the premises.
The report revealed that, the traders had acted according to the instructions of Folasade who is the Iyaloja of Lagos but refused to reopen their stores due to their inability to pay a N5 million levy imposed on them.
The aggrieved traders were reported to have broke into their stores on Tuesday and found out their foodstuffs that are for sale were already spoilt as there was no way to preserve them.
The angry market men and women however, staged a protest around the market, urging Tinubu to appeal to his daughter to reopen the market and scrap the N5 million fine.
Recall, in June 2021, Folasade also shut down the ever busy tech market popularly known as Computer Village and imposed a fine of N5 million on traders.
