Olukayode Ariwoola is a Nigerian lawyer and Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.He was formerly a Justice of the Nigerian courts of appeal before being appointed to the supreme court of Nigeria’s bench as Justice on November 22, 2011, and was sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

After Justice Tanko Muhammad resigned on June 27, 2022, he was appointed Chief Justice of Nigeria and is awaiting approval from the Nigerian Senate.

He was formerly a Justice of the Court of Appeal and was elevated to the Supreme Court bench after having been elevated from the State High Court of Oyo State.

Between 1959 to 1967, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola pursued his education in his hometown of Iseyin at the Local Authority Demonstration School, Oluwole, in the Iseyin Local Government of Oyo State.

Prior to being appointed to the Supreme Court, Ariwoola presided over the Kaduna, Enugu, and Lagos divisions of the Court of Appeal.

He attended numerous international and national conferences and workshops in France, Atlanta, Georgia, the UK, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
