Report reaching Olainfo has it that the Nigerian Army and men of the Eastern Security Network ESN are currently in a gun battle in Nsukka part of Enugu state.
The report revealed that, the men of Nigerian Army allegedly took the battle to the alleged hideout of the ESN operatives. This is currently happening and has triggered tensions in the town of Nsukka as the two forces battle on.
According to our source, Sahara Reporters confirmed that, many residents had fled, leaving their houses and properties to neighbouring communities to seek refuge.
The residents revealed to our source that, the two forces have been clashing since yesterday and still haven’t seized fire. Some parts of the town are still under tension as they’re still shooting sporadically.
This is coming after a report on Tuesday that eight persons were murdered during a clash between Fulani herdsmen and men of ESN in Adani area of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu state.
The ESN operatives storm the host community to protect the people after alleged attacks on their farms and houses by Fulani herdsmen.
