The renowned Ikale activist, Jimi Adekanle popularly known as Jaf has just celebrated 18-years wedding anniversary with wife and children in stunning and loved up pictures.
The activist who hails from Ode-Irele, the Irele Local Government headquarters is known as a major critic to the government of Ondo state and anything about poor system of government in Nigeria.
Mr. Jaf started and ended his primary school in Ode-Irele, he attended Comprehensive High School Ode-Irele where he obtained his Senior School Certificate. He’s a graduate of accounting/business from federal polytechnic, Bauchi State. He went further to obtain a certificate in business system analyst Topron Consulting Inc. and MBA at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology popularly known as LAUTECH.
He was known as a dealer in all kinds of foods. His initial business was majorly on foodstuffs most especially the indigenous foods like cassava flavor which they call “pupuru” in Ikale language. He was known as an international trader who byes foods from home and export it to countries like USA and Uk for his kinsmen to continue having the taste of home. The people in diaspora are the major customers that patronize his business because they are the consumers of such foods.
Mr. Adekanle realized his activism ambition shortly after he relocated finally to Los Angelis in the United State of America. His activism has earned him a lot of honour he was made a peace ambassador by the United Nations. He also works at Amnesty International, Canada and the current Chief Executive Officer at Savannah News Now.
Most of his criticisms are usually displayed on the social media where he condemns the excesses of the government and their agencies. He make his criticism from the local to the state and federal level, his satire do not concentrate only on poor system of governance but on general ugly lifestyle of some nationals. His calls and alarms on a serious situations in his local government of origin have brought justices to many less privileged who were been deprived of their human rights.
The humble man has set a pace for himself and his generation for a selfless service to humanity. This is a service he render for free to salvage his people from mental and physical servitude. In the history of his race, Ikale, it’s believed that no one has acted as an activist to the extent of being recognized by international bodies. He has indeed made his people proud with this excellent and passionate service.
Mr. Jaf revealed on his social media handle that this event is the first to be celebrated since 18 years he got married. He said the anniversary couldn’t have held if not for his wife and children who persuaded him to suspend political activism and spend a lovely moment with them in honour of the anniversary. He revealed to us in a brief phone call interview that he has not been frequent with his family in a long time all because of his profession, he had to embark on trips to carry out major assignments.
He however expressed gratitude to the well-wishers and thanked his lovely wife for being there always for him.
