Controversial activist, Aisha Yesufu has charged Nigerians living in diaspora to start working on how to participate in elections in Nigeria.
The renowned activist made this call while reacting to the report of House of Rep Deputy Speaker, Idris Wase telling Nigerians in diaspora that they do not really know the situation in Nigeria, so cannot submit petition on Issues affecting them back home.
Wase who presided over the last Thursday’s plenary, reportedly rejected a petition from “Mutual Union of the Tub in America”, claiming that Nigerians in diaspora do not really know the situation in Nigeria and so have not right to file petition.

A petition which was presented by lawmaker representing Here East/Gwer West federal constituency, Mark Terseer Gbillah accused the federal government of not providing settlement for Tiv people displaced from their an ancestral lands due to insecurity and chaos orchestrated by terrorists and Fulani herdsmen.
Aisha Yesufu while reacting to this, she charged them to start working on to vote and participate in Nigeria elections. You cannot be contributing so much for the economy of Nigeria and have zero political power, she said.
