Go to Your State, Enugu is Working: Woman Slams Phyno, Flavour for Holding EndSARS Protest in Enugu

A billboard containing the image of two Nigerian artistes, Flavour and Phyno with a write up “Don’t use EndSARS protest to blackmail Enugu State government. Go to your state, Enugu is working has stirred reactions amongst the social media users.

Following the ongoing nationwide EndSARS protest, the indigenous rapper, Phyno and highlife crooner took to the street of Enugu to lead a protest against police brutality in the country. The artistes are both from the southern part of the country, they regard all the states under the region as one entity because of their languages and cultural heritage.

Another image on the billboard is that of a woman who happens to be the Director General of Enugu Di N’ Aka Chukwu movement according to the information available on the billboard, Hon. Mrs. Bibian Anekwe slamming the protesters for holding the protest in Enugu instead of Anambra which is the root of the artistes.

Mrs Anekwe described this act as a blasphemy against the government of Enugu. She claimed that the state is working and asked the protesters to go and demonstrate their grievances in their state.

Reacting to this, many social media users have condemned the woman’s action. Some described it as attempt to incite inter state conflicts in the region.

Another reactions from users who supported her action for sponsoring such billboard say that, “it’s good for them, they are from Anambra, let them come and protest here, there are victims of police brutality in in Anambra more than Enugu.”
