Everton v Leicester City: Major Everton Injury Boost

Adam Jones has now shared another Everton injury boost before they play Leicester City at home in the Premier League tonight.

This is yet another crucial match for the Merseyside club, who are attempting to prevent relegation to the Championship.

They’re only three points clear of the relegation zone ahead of the game in front of their supporters at Goodison Park, and with games against Liverpool and Chelsea on the horizon, a win over the Foxes would be huge.

Jones, a writer for The Liverpool Echo, has taken to Twitter to share some of Frank Lampard’s pre-match press conference comments.

In what will come as a relief to the fans, Yerry Mina is finally back ‘in the squad‘ after a while out injured, as is Donny van de Beek, who is also ‘back in contention‘ after a spell out through illness, injury and family commitments.

Not only is it a huge boost to have Mina back in the heart of defence, but van de Beek should add some guile through the spine of midfield.

In the Premier League, the Manchester United loanee leads his colleagues in average tackles and passes per match in the top flight, while his 84.9 percent pass accuracy is the highest of any Toffees player who has made five or more appearances.

He could be the key to unlocking the door tonight, and he’ll undoubtedly play a role under Frank Lampard, the former attacking midfield legend.
