EndSARS Memorial: Police Arrest Passerby, Whisked Protesters to Unknown Location (Video)

Amidst the one year anniversary of the patriotic citizens who lost their lives in October 2020 EndSARS protest, Nigerian police have reportedly arrested some of the protesters who came out today to take part in the peaceful march in Lagos.

The one year EndSARS anniversary, tagged “EndSARS Memorial” holding today, was planned to honour those who died during the Lekki Tollgate massacre of peaceful protesters in Lagos by Nigerian Army on October 20, 2020.

The protest which was planned to be peaceful has been reportedly hijacked by men of the Nigerian police as several protesters and a number of passerby have been arrested.

According to the source, Team1 EFC Squad reports that, an unverified number passerby around the venue of the demonstration, Lekki Tollgate were been arrested and drove to unknown location earlier today.

The report also reveals in a video how one of the protesters, Mr. Okechukwu Peter’s phone was forcefully taken away from him and whisked away to unknown location by security operatives.

This is coming days after the Lagos State Police assured to protect the lives of the protesters and allow them to exercise their constitutional rights but won’t allow them to disturb people’s peace. Watch Okechukwu being whisked away below
