El-Rufai Declares NLC President, Ayuba Wabba Wanted over Ongoing Strike in Kaduna

Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai-led adminstration of Kaduna State has declared the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Ayuba Wabba wanted over industrial action embarked upon by the union.

It was gathered the NLC led adminstration of Ayuba Wabba had embarked on a five-day warning strike to protest Governor El-Rufai’s sack of local government workers in the state.

According to Guardian, the labour union president had vowed to ensure the governor is brought to his knees until the local government workers he sacked are recalled to their various duties.

It was also gathered that, all commercial banks, transporters, traders, petrol station attendants and others have withdrawn their services in the metropolis. Strike which officially commenced yesterday will last for five days according to the union.

Amid the ongoing strike, the governor has promised to reward anyone who has useful information about his hideout as he declared him and other staffs of the union wanted.

According to the governor, he declared Ayuba and the union wanted for economic sabotage and attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act. He therefore urged anyone who Knows where he is hiding to contact Kaduna State Ministry of Justice.
