A twitter user with the handle name, @baddestcash has tweeted his experience with a suya seller who asked him to pay for onion he sliced to spice up the meet he bought from him.
This is coming as a result of hike in price of food items. Some people have attributed the sudden increase of the price of commodities to the nationwide EndSARS protest. They claimed that trucks conveying food stuffs from the North to southern part of Nigeria were blocked and looted by EndSARS protesters.
Some people also alleged security officers operating at inter-state borders in some parts of the country of extorting the truck drivers by collecting money illegally from them before they allow them entry.
Due to this, dealers have refused to bring in food stuffs as retailers decided inflate the price of available ones.
