Former lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye has called out the government of Kogi state for rejecting the AstraZeneca vaccine after collecting money and palliatives from the federal government.
Recall that the Yahaya Bello Kogi state led adminstration always makes it clear that the state is free of corona virus despite the obvious outbreak across the nation. The governor is so skeptical or simply put, do not believe the disease is real.
However, the governor’s claim that corona virus does not exist in his state didn’t stop him from being part of beneficiaries of the relief packages as shared by federal government to every other state in Nigeria.
Yahaya Bello and Senator Dino Melaye have been in a political tussle for a while and do not see eye to eye. The the two are political leaders in their respective political parties in Kogi state.
Dino who has always been blasting the governor and his party, APC for every action or policy that do not favour the masses or depicts good governance has again called out the governor for rejecting covid-19 vaccine after collecting palliatives from federal government.
According the statement he released via his Twitter page, he said;
“Kogi Government collected covid-19 money and palliative from Federal Government and still have the guts to say no covid in Kogi State. Since you collected money and palliative….una must collect vaccine tooo. Oyinara.
