In 1914, the Southern and Northern protectorate was amalgamated to form Nigeria by Lord Lugard and his mistress Flora Shaw.
It’s been 107 years the country was amalgamated and evey parts of the country seem divided due to the nepotism and favouritism in government and bunch of tribal bigots amongst the citizens.
Today the Southern parts of the country are unarguably not united, there are alot of differences and tribal bigots amongst the people of South West, South South and South East. These people do not either see Northerners as one of them as well due to their total dominance of government at the federal level.

However, a controversial human right activist, Aisha Yesufu has taken to her Twitter to call for review of the amalgamation to know if the nationals still want to live together as one country.
According to her tweet: “After 107 years of the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern protectorate that formed Nigeria, we do not have the Nigerian conversation! We need to sit down and ask ourselves whether we want to remain as one country or not”.
